We hold three annual fundraising events:
Maine Seacoast Mission President John Zavodny has announced the two honorees for the next summer’s Sunbeam Award Gala: Sigma Kappa Sorority and Acadia Senior College. The Mission’s Sunbeam Award Gala is its centerpiece fundraising event, built around recognizing those who embody the ideals of community.
President Zavodny said the values and accomplishments of these two inspiring organizations are clear examples of actions and spirit that make communities strong. Maine Seacoast Mission is honored to celebrate these two organizations’ contributions.
Our Open Tennis Tournament raises funds for Ed Greaves Education (EdGE), the Mission’s youth development program serving eastern Hancock and Washington counties. Local businesses sponsor four- person teams for morning and afternoon matches of exciting, competitive tennis. The Tournament will be held in September 2021. Stay tuned for more details. Please contact Development Associate Anna Silver by email or call 207.801.6011 for information about teams and sponsorship opportunities.
The Presidents Scholarship Celebration supports our Student Pathways and Scholarship programs. An inspiring event to recognize and honor students in the Mission’s educational programs and those who inspire them. In addition to presenting scholarships and the Mission lanyard to our 2021 Mission Scholars, we recognize a student Trailblazer and a Mission Guide, who has demonstrated advocacy and support for educational opportunity. It’s a celebration of the accomplishments and potential of our young adults.
The President’s Scholarship Celebration will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2021. It will be virtual again this year. Those of you interested in joining the online Celebration should please contact Anna Silver by email or call 207.801.6011.
