Scientists Help EdGE Kids Extract DNA from Strawberries

HARRINGTON, ME — Local scientists visited the Harrington Elementary EdGE Afterschool Program. Students extracted DNA from strawberries and worked as detectives to identify samples underneath a microscope.

This opportunity was made possible due to a COMPASS Outreach Award from The American Society For Cell Biology.
