Fun + Families + Math + Bingo = New Books for EdGE Pre-K-12 Students

Cherryfield — Fifty-five children, parents, and grandparents took part in the Mission’s EdGE Family Engagement Program Reading Event, Bingo for Books, on Monday, November 21, at Milbridge Elementary School in Milbridge, ME. The event gave Pre K-12 students and their families a way to learn about the EdGE Family Engagement Program.

Mission Downeast Campus Director Wendy Harrington, who sent us these pictures from the Reading Event, said in an email, “Thank you to Kim Summers, the Family Engagement Coordinator, for creating this fun evening. We enjoyed a dinner of pasta, salad, and apple crisp before the Bingo for Books began. Every child left with a book. Those children who won a Bingo game left with two books,” said Director Wendy Harrington.
