Scholarships The Maine Sea Coast Mission has been providing scholarships to students from the islands and coastal communities of Downeast Maine since 1918. It has provided more than $1 million in scholarships since that time.

Scholarships are available to high school students enrolling in degree programs and to non-traditional students of all ages taking specialized courses to prepare for advancement in a variety of fields. The Mission's scholarships are available for all four years of college. This is unusual. Most scholarships are only available for a single year. If Mission Scholars maintain a 2.5 grade point average, they are eligible to reapply for scholarship for another year.
