Partner Churches The Mission has partnerships with churches on Islesboro, North Haven, Swan's Island, and Vinalhaven to serve the spiritual needs of these geographically less accessible communities.

Support for the Mission enables each church to have a full-time minister who is expected to serve both the congregation and the island at large. The pastors bring a special dimension to the island community including pastoral care to the whole island and much more. Their involvement includes starting and running food pantries, outreach to the youth and elderly, serving on town boards, working in the island schools and serving as part of the island ambulance crew. The experienced ministers of these partner churches serve well beyond their own congregations and bring many things to their small, island communities.
