Colket
Center
The Maine Sea Coast Mission has its administrative
offices as well as classroom and meeting
space at the Colket Center, located in Bar
Harbor, Maine. The former summer cottage
of the Colket family, the center also houses
the Maine Sea Coast Mission archives, as
well as historical artifacts from the Mission's
past. There is a collection building for
thrift shop donations, and the top floor
serves as the organizing and storage area
for the multitude of gifts given as part
of the annual Christmas Program.
Donated to the mission with an endowment
for the upkeep and long-term maintenance
of the building by Ruth and Tristram Colket,
it was dedicated in 2006 and renamed the
Colket Center.
