The Maine Sea Coast Mission is a non-denominational, nonprofit organization that serves as a source of hope, encouragement, and strength for individuals, families and communities from mid to Downeast coastal Maine.
Rooted in an inclusive Christian ministry of compassion and justice, the Mission delivers critical services to those most in need while striving to redress the root causes of those needs.
Founded in 1905, the Mission has grown and expanded over a period of 100 years. Our programs including Scholarships, Emergency Financial Assistance, Ministries to Island and Coastal Communities, Christmas Program, EdGE Programs for Children, Sunbeam Island Health Services, Food Pantry, and Thrift Shop serve Hancock and Washington counties including the outer islands.
